International School Award Activity for English for Class VIII was conducted in the month of December. The students were given an orientation talk on the key ingredients and usage of the travel brochure. They formed groups and discussed the various interesting features of different countries until they chose one for their project work. They were asked to do research work and come up with information and ideas for the same after a couple of days. Care was taken that each group selected a different country. The students then carried the research work and collected information about the country pertaining to its famous tourists spots, its weather, best time to visit the country, its architecture, means of transport available, historical background, its culture and various other unexplored facets of the particular country. They also collected colourful pictures of that country. All the information and the pictures were then compiled in the form of Brochures. All the students displayed great zeal and enthusiasm while making their brochures. the colourful and vibrant brochures displayed the creativity of all the group members. Later these Brochures were displayed in the class by the groups and each participant of the group came forth and presented a distinct feature of their selected country. The activity was very fruitful as it gave the students an opportunity to work as a team and display their potential. It enriched their knowledge about different countries of the world and helped them to become global citizens
